Mykolaiv plans to install fire alarms in two educational institutions. Almost three million hryvnias will be spent from the budget.

This was reported by the Center for Public Investigations with reference to the Prozorro public procurement system.

Thus, the Education Department of Mykolaiv City Council announced a tender for the current repair of the automatic fire alarm system and fire warning system of Mykolaiv Lyceum No. 28 and Mykolaiv Gymnasium No. 32.

The expected cost of repairs at Lyceum No. 28 is UAH 2,009,230.80, and at Gymnasium No. 32 - UAH 952,497.60. The minimum price reduction step is 50% of the purchase price.

The deadline for submitting bids is October 19. The auctions are scheduled to start on October 21. No security is required for the tender offer, as well as for the contract.

According to the tender documents, the winner must, among other repairs, install smoke, heat and manual fire detectors, install a monoblock of voice and light and sound warning, a loudspeaker, and set up fire extinguishing and smoke removal systems.

The repair work should be completed by December 15, 2024.

In addition, the Education Department has announced two auctions for the provision of fire safety training services for teachers. Thus, it is planned to spend UAH 227,873 from the budget for one service, and UAH 43,637 for the second.

Bidding is also scheduled to start on October 21. The services must also be provided by December 15 this year.

According to the first announcement, 332 students are to be trained, and 91 students are to be trained under the second. The services are to be provided by a training center that provides fire safety training and has the appropriate certificates and permits from the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

The training will be provided to employees appointed to civil protection units, heads of business entities and their deputies, and officials responsible for civil protection in central and local executive authorities.

Earlier, the fire alarm and warning system at the Tiligul Agricultural Vocational College in Odesa Oblast will be repaired by the company that offered the highest price. The expected cost of the work, which the contractor was to complete by December 1, 2024, was more than UAH 6 million.

In May, Mykolaiv was looking for a contractor to be paid more than UAH 12 million to install an automatic fire alarm system in one of the city's hospitals. For this money, the contractor was supposed to overhaul the automatic fire alarm and warning system at City Hospital No. 3.

Recently, a college shelter was planned to be repaired in Mykolaiv region. Almost thirty million hryvnias will be spent from the state budget. Thus, it is planned to overhaul the radiation shel ter in the dormitory building of the Novodesskiy Vocational College. The estimated duration of the repair is seven months. The shelter, with an area of 1520 square meters, is designed for 450 people.
