The Odesa Regional Migration Service has revoked the immigration permit for Ukraine issued to Turkish citizenYildiz Ugur, who assaulted a woman after she criticized the service at his restaurant.
According to the Migration Service, a decision has been made to invalidate, revoke, and destroy the permanent residence permit in Ukraine issued on the basis of this immigration permit.
“On June 13, Turkish citizen Yildiz Ugur, born in 1968, committed a criminal offense against Ukrainian citizen Natalia Ivanivna, born in 1958. According to available information, he grossly violated public order out of blatant disrespect for society, accompanied by particular audacity and the use of physical violence,” the Migration Service stated.
Meanwhile, a deputy of the Odesa Regional Council released a video showing him and a group of men smashing the “Turquoise” sign and informing bystanders that the establishment is no longer in operation.
The day before,Rafael Muradyan, former head of the Department of Consumer Market Development and Consumer Protection at the Odesa City Council, stated that he had previously tried twice to shut down the “Turquoise” restaurant, where the owner had beaten a woman after she made a complaint, but it reopened almost immediately.
The incident, which occurred on June 13 on Deribasovskaya Street in central Odesa, and which the police described as a conflict between a local resident and the restaurant’s director, tooka new turn—after a video was published showing him beating the woman, another video emerged in which he apologizes to the women of Odesa for his behavior.
On June 14, the police reported that they had opened two criminal cases based on statements from both parties to the conflict. According to police, the conflict between the local resident and the restaurant’s director arose over a remark the 68-year-old woman made to workers who were carrying out repairs near the restaurant.
