The Odesa Regional Military Administration has authorized the opening of 14 beaches in the Odesa region, bringing the total number of open beaches to 27.

This was announced by Oleg Kipper, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration.

Another 13 beaches had been opened earlier. Meanwhile, the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi District Administration reported that swimming is prohibited at the district’s beaches.

“In total, as of today, 27 beach areas are now open to the public. Among them are: Velykofontansky, Delfin, Kaleton, the inclusive ‘Without Limits’ beach, Langeron, Arcadia, Kurortny, Municipal (10th Station of Velykyi Fontan), Zolotyi Bereg, ‘For People with Disabilities,’ and Chaika,” said Oleg Kipper.

In May, Oleg Kipper, head of the Odesa Regional State Administration, signed an order to inspect the region’s beaches ahead of the upcoming tourist season. At that time, the head of the Regional State Administration stated that more beaches were planned to open this year than last year.

In November 2025, the Rules for the Equipment andOperation of Beaches establishedby the Odesa City Council became obsolete due to changes in legislation—the Law of Ukraine “On the Lease of State and Municipal Property” no longer allowed beaches to be leased as public amenities or hydraulic structures, as had been done under the city administration’s 2007 regulations.

At that time, 30 lawsuits filed by the prosecutor’s office seeking to terminate beach lease agreements were pending in court. In 2025, more than two dozen beach areas for swimming and recreation were officially opened in Odesa. All of them passed safety inspections in accordance with wartime requirements. Separate zoneswere also openedin Chornomorsk and Primorsky in the Izmail District. Recreational activities were permitted at 26 beach areas. All of them passed inspection and met sanitary requirements and wartime conditions.

In 2024,the beach season inthe Odesa region opened on June 8. Twenty locations were available for swimming, all of which had been pre-inspected to ensure they met safety standards.
