The case involving Russian drone operators who targeted residents of Kherson has been referred to court

<span><span><span><span><span><span>The Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office has filed an indictment with the court against ten Russian military personnel for targeted drone attacks on civilians in the Kherson region. Throughout 2025, the occupiers deliberately dropped explosives and directed FPV drones at pedestrians, civilian vehicles, as well as medical and rescue teams.</span></span></span></span></span></span>

<span><span><span><span><span><span>According to the investigation, operators monitored people in real time via UAV cameras, selected targets, and deliberately carried out strikes. The attacks involved drones capable of dropping munitions and FPV kamikaze drones, including those controlled via fiber-optic cables. Fragmentation-high-explosive warheads, as well as homemade explosive and incendiary devices, were used.</span></span></span></span></span></span>

Among the documented crimes were strikes against civilians on a central street in Kherson, the dropping of explosives on a man while he was walking his dog, and targeted attacks on private and municipal vehicles.

Military personnel repeatedly targeted medical personnel and emergency services. One of the defendants twice deliberately attacked State Emergency Service personnel who had arrived to extinguish a fire following the initial strike. In addition, there is documented evidence of an explosive being dropped near the city hospital and clearly marked emergency ambulances.

Earlier, the case of the former “Minister of Fuel and Energy” of the occupying regime in Crimea—who had been hiding in the capital under the guise of a local company employee—was referred to court. After the annexation of the peninsula, the traitor actively contributed to the establishment of the occupying regime and managed the region’s energy sector in the interests of the aggressor state.
