In Mykolaiv, an officer of the TCC was notified of suspicion for beating conscripts during mobilization. More than 30 complaints from citizens pointed to systemic violence.
This was reported by the press service of the State Bureau of Investigation.
Law enforcement officers served a notice of suspicion to an officer of one of the regional recruitment and social support centers. According to law enforcement, during mobilization activities, he deliberately inflicted bodily harm on persons liable for military service.
The SBI noted that it regularly responds to citizens' appeals regarding possible abuses in the mobilization process. The agency emphasized that martial law is not a ground for the use of violence or abuse of power.
According to the investigation, the SBI received at least 30 complaints from Mykolaiv residents about the actions of employees of the Korabelnyi District Military and Civilian Conscription Committee and JV during the inspection of military registration documents. The number of complaints, according to investigators, indicates a systemic nature of violations.
During the inspection, law enforcement officers found that an officer of the regional CMC and JV, who was sent to "strengthen" the work of the Korabelnyi District Center, repeatedly used physical force against persons liable for military service.
The official has now been served a notice of suspicion of intentional infliction of bodily harm under part one of Article 125 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
Also in Voznesensky district, law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of a possible kidnapping. According to a 40-year-old local resident, he was held in a locked room for almost two weeks by members of one of the TCCs and JVs, after which he turned to the police on January 6, immediately after the holidays.
