The head of the Kherson regional power company , Oleksandr Prokudin, said how many electricians have been killed and injured since the de-occupation of the right bank.

He said this in an interview with the Czech publication Hospodářské noviny.

According to the official, 80% of villages on the right bank of the Kherson region already have access to electricity, but repairs are underway in extremely difficult conditions due to constant attacks by Russian occupiers.

Prokudin noted that repairmen risk their lives every day as they are targeted by enemy drones and artillery. Since the de-occupation of the right bank of the Kherson region, six workers have been killed and nine others injured.

The occupiers continue to target energy infrastructure, leaving the population without electricity, gas, water and heat. Nevertheless, specialists continue to repair the damaged networks, although each visit becomes a dangerous task for them.

As Intent previously reported, three workers of the regional power company hit a mine while repairing the power grid in Solontsi village, Kherson region. One worker died on the spot, one lost his lower limbs and was in a very serious condition, and one survived.

In addition, in Kherson, heating network workers are working in extremely difficult conditions and are forced to do double the amount of work due to a 40 percent understaffing. This is due to both the security situation in the region and the effects of active hostilities. It is especially difficult for heat and power engineers to work. In the previous heating season, boiler houses were often shut down due to shelling, leaving residents without heat.

On January 6 , Russian terrorists killed the only environmentalist who physically worked in the Kherson community. Volodymyr Ivanovych Shum died as a result of a Russian drone attack on a minibus in Kherson. He was mostly involved in tree care. In a few days, he was to celebrate his 51st birthday.
