A resident of the region was found guilty of collaboration with the public prosecution of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office.
According to the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office, in July 2022, she took up the position of the so-called "Head of the Division for Coordination of Demographic and Family Policy of the Department of Youth, Family and Sports Policy" of the occupation administration. In August, the woman changed her position, heading the "legal department" of the occupation "capital construction department of the department of construction and housing and communal services".
In her pseudo-posts, the convict cooperated with the authorities of the aggressor state, was engaged in the selection of employees, organized trips of children from Kherson region to Crimea for the so-called "rest and recreation". She was involved in organizing and conducting propaganda activities.
The court found the woman guilty and sentenced her to 10 years in prison with confiscation of property. She was also deprived of the right to hold positions in state authorities, public administration, local self-government or bodies providing public services for a period of 15 years.
Earlier, a 63-year-old teacher from the Kherson region, Larysa Soroka, was sentenced to 15 years in prison for voluntarily agreeing to head the Novozburiivka Malyutka kindergarten, illegally created by the occupiers. In August 2022, she began organizing the educational process according to Russian curricula, recruiting employees and children.
Also, the Shevchenkivskyi District Court of Chernivtsi handed down a verdict in absentia to a 35-year-old resident of Kherson , Oleksandr Volkov. The man was found guilty of collaboration for holding an illegal "referendum" in September 2022.
