The security of ballot boxes in Moldova was ensured by Ukrainian seals from Clixar, a company registered in Odesa in 2021, according to the YouControl service.

This was announced by the company's co-owner Dmytro Kazavchynskyi.

"Our international family-owned company CLIXAR security seals is pleased to participate in supporting democracy in friendly Moldova," he wrote on Facebook.

Besides Dmytro Kazavchynskyi, the company is owned by Anna Kazavchynska and Olga Kazavchynska. The main activity of the company is the production of other plastic products, and one of the types of such products is the production of seals.

The pro-European party Action and Solidarity (PAS), founded by President Maia Sandu, won the parliamentary elections. The second place was taken by the opposition Patriotic Electoral Bloc, one of whose leaders is former President Igor Dodon, who advocates rapprochement with Russia. This bloc received 24.26% of the vote.

It also entered the parliament:

The day before, the Moldova Mare (Greater Moldova) party, led by Victoria Furtune, which called for the annexation of part of Odesa region to Moldova, was excluded from the election race. According to the CEC, the party used funds undeclared in financial management reports, funds from abroad, and bribed voters. The party is also accused of participating in a disguised electoral bloc together with representatives of parties whose activities were restricted, who are considered successors of the party recognized as unconstitutional.

The Moldovan authorities have repeatedly reported that Russia is trying to influence the elections in the country. Moldovan President Maia Sandu has stated that Russia plans to use her country as a springboard for a war with Ukraine afterwards.
