The search for a contractor to repair a school has begun in the village of Bila Krynytsia, Kherson Oblast. The budget for the work was set at over UAH 21 million. Prior to that, the school signed an agreement to build a shelter for 62 million hryvnias.

This was reported by the Center for Public Investigations.

The customer was the Bilokrynytsia Secondary School, which announced the tender on November 25. Participants can submit their proposals until December 10, and the winner will be selected the next day in an open bidding format with special features. It is planned to spend UAH 21 million 195 thousand on the works.

According to the terms of the procurement, the contractor will use these funds to overhaul the school building, gymnasium, and roof. All work must be completed by the end of December 2025.

It should be added that in June 2024, this educational institution chose a contractor to build a new bomb shelter at the school without an auction. The open bidding with special features worth UAH 62 million was held with a single participant who registered in the system. Autointerstroy, a Kramatorsk-based company, took part in the bidding and won.

According to the YouControl service, the company was registered in 2005 in Donetsk Oblast. The director of Autointerstroy LLC is Konstantin Seleznev, and the owner is Alexander Shakhmatov.

In total, the cost of restoring the school in Bila Krynytsia, along with the construction of a shelter, will amount to about UAH 83.5 million.

During the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the village was temporarily occupied by Russian troops from February to November 2022. For most of the time, the village was in a gray zone due to the lack of natural barriers that could allow one side to safely gain a foothold. Russian troops mostly used the village to transit troops to the north from the villages of Davydiv Brid and Velyka Oleksandrivka. The village was returned to the control of Ukrainian forces in late May and early June 2022, but at the same time it became a frontline village and was regularly shelled.

According to Kherson Regional Council deputy Ihor Yosypenko, in the village of Bila Krynytsia, the Russians destroyed an elevator, houses, roads, and damaged the buildings of the village council and the House of Culture, which housed the folk museum. The military carried out air strikes on the village.
