New tenders have been announced in Izmail, Odesa region, for the restoration of buildings damaged by Russian attacks on the region.

The information is available on the public procurement website Prozorro.

This time, we are talking about houses at 57 Vidrodzhennia Street and 71-A Serhiy Levchenko Street.

The housing and communal services department of the Izmail City Council of Izmail district, Odesa region, announced the open bidding on October 21.

According to the tender documentation, it is planned to strengthen the roof and replace the metal tiles on the area of 113 m² on Serhiy Levchenko Street. It is planned to spend UAH 259 thousand 471 on the works. In addition, snow fences and cornices will be installed.

On Vidrodzhennia Street, repairs will cost much more - UAH 606 thousand 595. This money will be used to replace metal tiles on an area of 237 m², install new cornices, gutters, and downspouts.

The auctions for both projects will take place on October 30, and all work should be completed by December 23 this year. Funding is provided by the local budget.

Earlier, the Housing and Utilities Department of the Izmail City Council began searching for a contractor to carry out the first stage of repairs to an apartment building destroyed as a result of a "shahed" attack on Izmail on September 27.

The repair of the neighboring apartment building at 216 Prydunayskaya Street was entrusted to the Rodnik company of Izmail City Council member Igor Dekhtyarev. The contract, which was awarded without a tender, is worth UAH 2 million 420 thousand. The deadline for completing the work is December 10, 2024.

This is not the first time that the deputy's company has been awarded restoration contracts without an auction. In July 2024, the Housing and Communal Services Department of the Izmail City Council in Odesa Oblast also signed a contract with Rodnik, a private enterprise, without bidding for the repair of an apartment building damaged by a Shahedi attack in Izmail. At the time, the contract amounted to UAH 1 million 606 thousand.

Another agreement with Rodnik was signed in October 2023. The contract amount was UAH 2 million 405 thousand.
