Russian Troops Shell 44 Settlements in Kherson Region, 2 Dead, 7 Injured

In the Kherson region, on March 19, Russian troops opened fire on 44 settlements in the Kherson region, killing 2 people and wounding 7 others.

According to Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, the Russian military hit critical and social infrastructure; residential areas of the region's settlements, in particular, they damaged 4 high-rise buildings and 18 private houses. The occupiers also damaged a cell tower, a garage and private cars.

Antonivka, Zelenivka, Inzhenerne, Komyshany, Bilozerka, Veletynske, Stanislav, Sofiyivka, Shyroka Balka, Daryivka, Poniativka, Mykilske, Ingulets, Beryslav, Dudchany, Osokorivka, Chervonyi Mayak, Novovorontsovka, Vesele, and Havrylivka came under enemy fire and air strikes, Kachkarivka, Novoberislav, Kreschenivka, Tomaryne, Burgunka, Virivka, Zmiivka, Novoraysk, Beregovo, Blahovishchenske, Dniprovske, Zarechne, Zolota Balka, Ivanivka, Kizomys, Kostyrka, Lvov, Mykhaylivka, Monastyrske, Oleksandrivka, Olgivka, Shlyakhove, Odradokamyanka and the city of Kherson.

At approximately 10:30 a.m., Russian troops attacked a resident of Dudchany village with a UAV. As a result of the drone's explosive drop, the 42-year-old woman sustained explosive trauma, contusion, and shrapnel wounds to her arms, legs, and back. Russian troops also attacked Kherson with artillery. A 19-year-old boy sustained an explosive injury and contusion as a result of the shelling.

As a result of the shelling of Kherson by Russian occupation forces around 11.00, an unknown man sustained life-threatening injuries. Experts are currently working to identify him.

Another 19-year-old man was wounded. He is currently in hospital. Around 13:00, Russian troops attacked a resident of Antonivka with a UAV. The man, born in 1964, sustained an explosive injury and shrapnel wound to his shin. At approximately 14:00, Zelenivka came under Russian fire. A 54-year-old woman who was on the street sustained fatal injuries as a result of the "arrival".

In addition, the occupiers fired artillery at Dariivka around 17:00. A 61-year-old woman was wounded as a result of the shelling. She sustained an explosive injury, as well as burns to her face, neck, arms and legs.

Earlier, many people, including a 15-year-old girl, were injured the day before by Russian UAVs. Also, the 4 Paws animal shelter was damaged as a result of a strike on Kherson with guided aerial bombs.

Intent has already written that on March 13, one person was killed and nine, including a child, were injured in the Kherson region as a result of shelling. The Russian army shelled 35 settlements in the region. This year, in February, Russian shelling killed 13 residents of Kherson, and another 113 people were injured of varying severity. In January 2025, 16 residents of Kherson were killed in enemy attacks, and another 154 residents were injured.
