Russian troops attack Kherson region, killing 1 and injuring 3 on March 16

In Kherson region, on March 16, Russian troops attacked infrastructure facilities in the region, damaged a hospital and vandalized an ambulance. As a result of Russian aggression, 1 person was killed and 3 others were injured.

The strikes damaged critical and social infrastructure and residential areas of the region's settlements. The Russians also damaged a high-rise building and 5 private houses.

At about 10 a.m., the occupiers attacked Zolota Balka residents from a UAV. A 67-year-old woman was severely injured as a result of the drone's explosive drop. She died on the way to the hospital. Her 70-year-old husband also sought medical assistance. He had an explosive injury and leg wounds. The victim is under medical supervision.

A resident of Antonivka was hit by a Russian drone. As a result of the explosion, the 60-year-old man sustained a mine-blast trauma and shrapnel wound to his shin. At about 17.40, an enemy drone attacked the territory of one of the city's hospitals. Fortunately, people were not injured.

In addition, many people, including a 15-year-old girl, were injured the day before by Russian UAVs. The Kherson animal shelter "4 Paws" was also damaged as a result of the attack on Kherson with guided aerial bombs.

Intent has already written that on March 13, one person was killed and nine, including a child, were injured in the Kherson region as a result of shelling. The Russian army shelled 35 settlements in the region. This year, in February, Russian shelling killed 13 residents of Kherson, and another 113 people were injured of varying severity. In January 2025, 16 residents of Kherson were killed in enemy attacks, and another 154 residents were injured.
