Russian Shelling in Kherson Region Kills 1, Injures 5 in 24 Hours

Russian troops shelled the Kherson region, damaging residential buildings, infrastructure and the Point of Unbreakable, wounding five people and killing an elderly woman. Air defense forces shot down an enemy drone during a night attack.

This was reported by the head of the Kherson Air Defense Forces Oleksandr Prokudin.

Over the past day, Russian troops shelled and carried out air strikes on a number of settlements in the Kherson region, including Beryslav, Novoraysk, Chervonyi Mayak, Bilozerka, Novokairam, Velytenske, Stanislav, Mykolayivka, Olhivka, Tyahyntsi, Odradokamyanka, Lvivove, Antonivka, Kreschenivka, Novooleksandrivka, Prydniprovske, Sadove, Molodizhne, Nadezhdivka, Burgunka, Osokorivka, Havrylivka, Dudchany, Zelenivka, Kizomys, Mykilske, Republican, Sofiyivka, Shyroka Balka and Kherson.

The occupants opened fire on residential areas, damaging 12 private houses. The Point of Unbreakability, a gas pipeline and several private cars were also destroyed.

Five people were injured in the attacks.

During the night attack, the air defense forces shot down one enemy Shahed-131/136 with drones.

In the morning, in the Korabelny district of Kherson, a Russian drone attacked an elderly woman by dropping explosives. She died from her injuries.

On March 26, Russian attacks in the Kherson region resulted in civilian casualties and damage to residential buildings and infrastructure. Air defense forces destroyed three enemy attack drones. The shelling destroyed two high-rise buildings, 12 private houses, a gas pipeline, and several cars.

A day earlier, on March 25, the Russian army attacked 27 settlements in the region, using aircraft and artillery. The shelling killed one person and injured six others. Among the injured was a 19-year-old man who sustained mine-blast trauma and shrapnel wounds to his legs after a drone strike in the Dniprovsky district of Kherson.

On March 22, the Russian military attacked 39 localities, including the city of Kherson. Three people were injured as a result of enemy shelling. The occupiers hit critical and social infrastructure, residential areas, damaged a multi-storey building, 22 private houses, outbuildings, garages, agricultural machinery and private cars. A farm was also hit.
