Russian Shelling in Kherson Kills 1, Injures 9 Including Child

One person was killed and nine, including a child, were wounded in the Kherson region as a result of shelling over the past day. The Russian army shelled 35 settlements in the region.

According to Oleksandr Prokudin, the head of the Kherson Military District Administration, Antonivka, Ponyativka, Mykilske, Prydniprovske, Sadove, Naddnipryanske, Inzhenerne, Tokarivka, Dniprovske, Velytenske, Kizomys, Oleksandrivka, Stanislav, Shyroka Balka were affected, Sofiyivka, Beryslav, Zmiivka, Novoberislav, Burgunka, Shlyakhove, Tyahyanka, Lvov, Olgivka, Mykolaivka, Monastyrske, Chervonyi Mayak, Zolota Balka, Havrylivka, Dudchany, Novovorontsovka, Kreschenivka, Novooleksandrivka, Vesele, Kozatske and the city of Kherson.

The strikes damaged critical and social infrastructure, as well as residential areas. Two apartment buildings and seven private homes were destroyed. The occupiers also destroyed a cell tower, an outbuilding and a private car.

According to the official, one person was killed and nine others were injured, including a child.

In total, 229 children have been injured in Kherson region since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion. Of these, 39 were killed and 190 sustained injuries of varying severity. This happened due to numerous war crimes that were recorded by the law enforcement agencies of Ukraine. In total, more than a thousand criminal proceedings have been registered, of which 294 relate to crimes directly against children.

This year, in February, 13 residents of Kherson were killed by Russian shelling, and another 113 people were injured of varying severity. In January 2025, 16 residents of Kherson were killed in enemy attacks, and another 154 residents were injured.
