Russian Shelling in Kherson Kills 1, Injures 6 - Air Defense Takes Down 3 Drones

Russian attacks in Kherson region resulted in civilian casualties and damage to residential buildings and infrastructure. Air defense forces destroyed three enemy attack drones.

This was reported by the head of the Kherson Regional State Administration Oleksandr Prokudin.

Yesterday, Russian troops massively shelled the settlements of Kherson region. Antonivka, Zelenivka, Inzhenerne, Sadove, Prydniprovske, Mykilske, Tokarivka, Novotyanka, Pryozerne, Bilozerka, Dniprovske, Kizomys, Veletenskoye, Tomyna Balka, Beregovo, Stanislav, Shyroka Balka came under enemy fire and air strikes, Sofiyivka, Beryslav, Zmiivka, Novoberislav, Odradokamyanka, Tyahyanka, Urozhayne, Mylove, Dudchany, Kachkarivka, Lvov, Olgivka, Mykolaivka, Novooleksandrivka, Novoraysk, Kostyrka, Monastyrske, Novovorontsovka, Osokorivka, Kozatske, Vesele and Kherson.

Social infrastructure and residential areas were hit. The attacks damaged two high-rise buildings, 12 private houses, a gas pipeline and several cars.

Three civilians were also injured in the hostile shelling.

In addition, during a night attack by drones, the Air Defense Forces destroyed three enemy Shahed-131/136 over the territory of the region.

On March 15, Russian troops attacked 27 settlements in the Kherson region using aircraft and artillery. The shelling killed one person and injured six others.

On March 22, 39 settlements in the region came under fire. Enemy fire damaged a multi-storey building, 22 private houses, outbuildings, a garage, agricultural machinery and cars, and hit a farm.

On March 19, Russian troops attacked Kherson again, killing 25-year-old volunteer Oleksandr Ivakhnenko. He was helping local residents restore windows in a house that had been damaged by shelling earlier. On the same day, four high-rise buildings, 29 private houses and a gas pipeline were damaged. Seven civilians were injured.

In February, Russian shelling in the city killed 13 people and injured 113 others of varying severity. Kherson is shelled daily by Russian troops. Explosions continue in the city, with civilians killed and wounded.
