Russian Shelling in Kherson: 5 Injured, Including a Child

Yesterday, on February 8, the Russian military shelled residential areas of the region's settlements. As a result of Russian aggression, 5 people were injured, including 1 child.

According to Oleksandr Prokudin, the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Russian troops shelled social and industrial infrastructure; residential areas of the region's settlements, in particular, damaged 5 high-rise buildings and 24 private houses. Mykhaylivka, Tyahynka, Novoraysk, Beryslav, Chervonyi Mayak, Ponyativka, Novoberislav, Dudchany, Mylove, Shlyakhove, Blahovishchenske, Mykilske, Stanislav, Velytenske, Prydniprovske, and Sadove came under enemy fire and air strikes, Antonivka, Bilozerka, Zelenivka, Havrylivka, Vesele, Zolota Balka, Ivanivka, Kizomys, Kozatske, Komyshany, Lvov, Mykolaivka, Molodizhne, Monastyrske, Novooleksandrivka, Odradokamyanka, Tokarivka, Fedorivka, Chornobaivka, and the city of Kherson.

In the morning, the Russian army attacked the central district of Kherson. Homes and warehouses came under attack. A fire broke out in a private house as a result of an enemy shell hit. Rescuers managed to pull a mother and child out of the fire. The 11-year-old boy suffered blast trauma, contusion and an acute stress reaction. A 33-year-old woman was diagnosed with mine-blast and craniocerebral injuries, as well as contusion. A 57-year-old woman also sustained mine-blast and craniocerebral injuries and contusion.

Around 15:30, the village of Blahovishchenske of the Kherson community came under attack by the occupiers. A 55-year-old woman was injured in the shelling. She has an explosive injury, contusion and hypertensive crisis.

In addition, Prokudin noted that during a night drone attack, the Air Defense Forces destroyed 1 Shahed-131/136 over the territory of our region.
