Russian Military Attacks Nadezhdivka, Kherson: Church Destroyed, Civilians Injured

On March 4, the Russian military attacked the village of Nadezhdivka, Kherson district, dropping explosives from a drone. As a result, the Church of St. Nicholas and the priest's house were destroyed.

The head of the Nadezhda district, Oleksandr Ivchenko, said that the explosion occurred around 17:20 and was heard by all the villagers. The priest was not at home at the time, which saved his life.

Bishop Nikodim of Kherson and Tavria called the attack particularly cynical because it occurred during Lent. He called for the restoration of the church and the support of the community.

The Belozersk SDA promised to help with building materials to repair the priest's house, as well as provide a room for worship.

On the night of March 5 , Russian occupation forces attacked the Korabelny district of Kherson.

Before that, an ambulance exploded on explosives near Novovorontsovka. The explosion damaged the wheel of the car, but fortunately, the medics and the patient were not injured.

On the morning of March 4, Russian troops attacked a civilian car with a drone in the Dniprovsky district of Kherson. A 67-year-old man was wounded. He received an explosive injury, as well as injuries to his arms and legs. The victim was immediately hospitalized for medical care.

The Russian occupants were targeting residential areas and social infrastructure. As a result of the shelling, a multi-storey building, 15 private houses, outbuildings, a garage and a private car were damaged. Four civilians were injured as a result of the attacks.

This year, in February, 13 residents of Kherson were killed by Russian shelling, and another 113 people were injured of varying severity. In January 2025, 16 residents of Kherson were killed in enemy attacks, and another 154 residents were injured.
