Russian Drone Strikes Civilians in Kherson, Injuring Several People

On February 22, Russian military dropped explosives from a drone on a civilian car in the Dniprovsky district of Kherson.

According to Oleksandr Prokudin, the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Russian troops shelled social infrastructure and residential areas of the region's settlements, including a high-rise building and 10 private houses. The occupiers also damaged a gas pipeline, outbuildings, a garage and private cars. Beryslav, Zmiyivka, Bilozerka, Shlyakhove, Stanislav, Mylove, Dudchany, Tyahynka, Kozatske, Vysoke, Virivka, Matrosivka, Antonivka, Prydniprovske came under enemy fire and air strikes, Sadove, Chervonyi Mayak, Veletynske, Vesele, Honcharne, Dniprovske, Ivanivka, Kizomys, Mykolaivka, Odradokamianka, Olgivka, Osokorivka, Sofiyivka, Tokarivka, Tomaryne, and the city of Kherson. Three people were injured as a result of Russian aggression.

At about 13:30, the occupiers dropped explosives from a drone on a civilian car. A 58-year-old man sustained mine-blast trauma, as well as shrapnel wounds to his back and head. He is currently under medical supervision.

In addition, a resident of Kindiyka, who was hit by a Russian drone on February 2, was hospitalized. The 52-year-old man sustained a mine-blast injury and a broken leg. Also, a resident of Kherson, who suffered from an attack by a Russian FPV drone on February 21, was admitted to the hospital. The 57-year-old man was diagnosed with a mine-blast injury and concussion. In total, on that day, the Russian army shelled 32 settlements in Kherson region with various types of weapons. The attacks killed one person and injured four others.

On the night of February 20, Kherson was shaken by a powerful explosion - a Russian guided aerial bomb hit a ten-story building. The strike completely destroyed 15 apartments in the building, from the first to the tenth floor. Windows were smashed in another 80 apartments.

As of January 2025, as a result of Russian armed aggression, 8676 destroyed or damaged objects were recorded on the territory of Bilozerska, Darievska, Muzykivska, Stanislavska and Chornobaivska communities of Kherson district.

In the first month of 2025, more than twelve thousand enemy shells hit Kherson region. January 2025 was a tragic month for Kherson, as the city lost 16 of its residents during that month.
