Last week, the Russian army launched 1965 drones in the Kherson region.

According to Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, the enemy launched half of these drones within the Kherson community.

"Ukrainian defenders destroyed 1562 or about 80% of the drones ," the official said.

Recently, a resident of Vesele was hospitalized. The man was hit by a Russian drone. As a result of the explosives dropped from the UAV, the 58-year-old man sustained an explosive injury and shrapnel wounds to his legs. Earlier, Russian military attacked police officers with an FPV drone in the Korabelny district. Two law enforcement officers received shrapnel wounds. And a 50-year-old resident of Antonivka, who was hit by an explosive from a UAV on February 10, recently died in hospital. The explosion caused severe brain damage. The man was taken to Mykolaiv hospital. Unfortunately, doctors were unable to save him. In Antonivka, the Russian military hit a car with an FPV drone. Fortunately, no one was injured.

On February 13, the occupiers fired at 39 settlements in the Kherson region. Enemy attacks claimed the lives of two civilians. On February 12, the invaders attacked a civilian car with a drone in the Korabelny district of Kherson, injuring a 24-year-old man. He sustained explosive and craniocerebral injuries, concussion and a shrapnel wound to his arm.

In the first month of 2025, more than twelve thousand enemy shells "flew" to the Kherson region. January 2025 was a tragic month for the region: the city lost 29 residents during that month, and 237 more sustained injuries of varying severity.

"They were not on the battlefield. Some were going to buy bread, some were returning from work, some were just standing in their yards. But the Russians attacked them - cynically and ruthlessly," said Prokudin.

According to him, more than half of the victims are the consequences of the Russian drone safari.
