Russian Attacks on Kherson: Injuries and Infrastructure Damage

Yesterday, on February 16, Russians vandalized the Steadfastness checkpoints, outbuildings and private cars. Three people were injured as a result of Russian aggression.

According to Oleksandr Prokudin, the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Russian troops hit critical infrastructure and residential areas of the region's settlements, in particular, damaging 4 high-rise buildings and 22 private houses. The occupants also damaged the Steadfastness Points, outbuildings and private cars.

Stanislav, Oleksandrivka, Shyroka Balka, Beryslav, Novoraysk, Monastyrske, Bilozerka, Novoberislav, Zmiivka, Mykilske, Poniativka, Tyahyntsi, Antonivka, Prydniprovske came under enemy fire and air strikes, Sadove, Inzhenerne, Yantarne, Havrylivka, Veletynske, Vesele, Zelenivka, Kozatske, Lvov, Mykolaivka, Odradokamyanka, Olhivka, Republican, Romashkove, Tokarivka, Tomaryne, Chervonyi Mayak, and the city of Kherson.

During the day, Russian troops shelled Poniativka. A 29-year-old local resident was wounded as a result of an enemy strike. He sustained an explosive injury, contusion, and a bruised head and arm. At about 15:30, the Russian occupation army shelled the central district of Kherson with artillery. A 74-year-old woman was injured as a result of the shelling. She sustained explosive and craniocerebral injuries, as well as contusion.

A resident of Vesele who was hit by a Russian drone was also hospitalized. As a result of the explosives dropped from the UAV, the 58-year-old man sustained an explosive injury and shrapnel wounds to his legs. An administrative building in Beryslav, which was used as an Unbreakable Point and humanitarian headquarters, also came under hostile attack by Russian drones. The strikes damaged the entrance to the building. There were no reports of casualties.

On February 15, two policemen were injured and one man died in Kherson region as a result of Russian attacks on civilian infrastructure and vehicles.

In the first month of 2025, more than twelve thousand enemy shells "flew" to the Kherson region. January 2025 was a tragic month for Kherson, as the city lost 16 of its residents during that month.
