Russian Attacks on Kherson: 1 Dead, 4 Injured, Infrastructure Damage

Over the past day, the Russian army fired at 32 localities in Kherson region using various types of weapons. One person was killed and four others were injured as a result of the attacks.

According to the Kherson Military District Administration, Antonivka, Nadezhdivka, Prydniprovske, Sadove, Zelenivka, Velytenskoye, Bilozerka, Kizomys, Stanislav, Tomina Balka, Shyroka Balka, Romashkove, and Shyroka Balka came under enemy fire and air strikes, Rozlyv, Mykilske, Beryslav, Dudchany, Zmiivka, Mylove, Burgunka, Novoraysk, Tomaryne, Chervonyi Mayak, Vesele, Dniprovske, Ivanivka, Komyshany, Mykolaivka, Poniativka, Sofiyivka, Tokarivka, Tyahyntsi, Ukrainka, and the city of Kherson.

The attacks resulted in the destruction of social infrastructure and residential areas. An apartment building, 12 private houses, a gas pipeline, outbuildings, garages and civilian cars were damaged.

One person was killed and four others were injured in the shelling.

In addition, during a nighttime drone attack, Ukrainian air defense forces shot down one enemy Shahed-131/136 drone over the territory of the region.

On the night of February 20, Kherson was shaken by a powerful explosion - a Russian guided aerial bomb hit a ten-story building. The strike completely destroyed 15 apartments in the building - from the first to the tenth floor. Windows were smashed in another 80 apartments.

As of January 2025, as a result of Russian armed aggression, 8676 destroyed or damaged objects were recorded on the territory of Bilozerska, Darievska, Muzykivska, Stanislavska and Chornobaivska communities of Kherson district.

In the first month of 2025, more than twelve thousand enemy shells hit Kherson region. January 2025 was a tragic month for Kherson, as the city lost 16 of its residents during that month.
