The court found a 39-year-old resident of Odesa region guilty of high treason and sentenced her to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property.

This was reported by the press service of the Odesa Regional Prosecutor's Office.

Prosecutors proved in court that the woman, on her own initiative, cooperated with a representative of the Russian Federation's special services. She received a task from them to collect and transmit information about the location of military facilities, regardless of the type of troops and subordination in Odesa and the region.

In exchange for her cooperation, the curator promised the woman assistance in moving to Russia or Belarus and assistance in finding employment for her and her family. Acting on the order of the enemy, the convict collected information about the locations of military units, the border guard service, the marines and recruitment centers. The offender also found out the number of personnel and the availability of military equipment.

The woman used photos, videos, and screenshots of maps with precise coordinates to transmit information. In total, she managed to transmit data on at least 10 objects in this way.

Currently, at the request of the prosecutor, the convict is in custody.

Earlier, a former employee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Donetsk region was sentenced to 15 years in prison in Odesa for committing war crimes during the occupation of Kherson region. Investigators proved that since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the ex-military officer from Mariupol, who resigned from law enforcement in 2014, voluntarily went on the run from the enemy and joined a military unit of the Russian armed forces. He received the call sign "Greek" and took up the position of the so-called "deputy commandant - head of the garrison" of the occupation forces in the village of Lazurne, Skadovsk district.
