On August 18 in the morning, Russian occupants attacked a settlement in the suburbs of Kherson.

This was reported by the press service of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Kherson region.

The report says that an enemy shell hit a residential building in which two people were trapped: a man and a woman, and the roof structures of the house caught fire. Rescuers arrived and helped the woman get out of the house, while the man got out on his own. The fire was quickly extinguished in a small area.

Residential buildings, the premises of a defunct store, outbuildings and dead wood on a total area of 11.32 hectares were on fire. Firefighting and rescue units and local fire brigades were involved in the firefighting.

Earlier it was reported that on August 8, the Kherson 101 service received a report that smoke was coming out of the windows of an apartment on the second floor in an apartment building. Rescuers used a ladder to get into the apartment. As it turned out, the smoke was caused by food left on the stove, and in one of the rooms the firefighters found an unconscious resident of the apartment. The man was taken out into the fresh air, given first aid, revived and transported to an ambulance.

Earlier it was reported that during July 30, rescuers in Kherson region extinguished 15 fires, 11 of which were caused by enemy shelling. The body of the deceased was removed from the rubble and an elderly woman was treated. Residential buildings, outbuildings, a warehouse and a metal kiosk were burning as a result of ammunition. Seven fires were extinguished in ecosystems on a total area of 42.08 hectares.
