More than a million hryvnias for a new car, hundreds of thousands of income and no savings - these are the details in the declaration of the acting rector of Odesa Economic University , Anatolii Kovalev. In addition, the document contains land plots in Odesa region, pension payments and loan obligations of the official.

Acting Rector of the Odesa National Economic University Kovalev has published his annual declaration for 2025. According to the declaration, Kovalev lives in Odesa with his wife Natalia. The official's main place of work is the Odesa National Economic University, where he holds the position of acting rector.

In 2025, the rector received UAH 660.9 thousand in salary. In addition, he declared a pension of UAH 266 thousand. His wife also received a pension of UAH 92.4 thousand per year.

The couple's real estate includes a 71.4-square-meter apartment in Odesa, which is jointly owned. The family purchased the apartment back in 1989 for 185.8 thousand hryvnias.

The declaration states that Anatolii Kovalev is the owner of a land plot that he acquired on February 28, 2017. The area of this plot is 0.08 hectares. It is located in the village of Molodizhne of the Velykodolynska territorial community of Odesa district. No information on the value of the property was provided in the declaration.

In addition, another land plot of a similar size - 0.08 hectares - is registered in the name of his wife Natalia Kovaleva. She acquired ownership of this plot on March 9, 2017. The object is also located in the village of Molodizhne of the Velykodolynska community in Odesa region, and its value is not indicated in the declaration.

In 2025, the official purchased a new car - a Toyota Yaris Cross made in 2024 worth UAH 1 million 182 thousand.

At the same time, the declaration contains no information about monetary assets, securities or corporate rights. At the same time, Kovalev indicated a loan taken out in February 2025. The guarantor was Daria Koroleva, most likely the official's daughter. As of the end of the year, the debt balance was UAH 172 thousand. The document also states that the official has accounts in several banks.
