The third action-demonstration, a reminder of the Crimean civilian hostages in the prisons of the Russian Federation "Sessiz qıçıruvı Mute Creek. Imprisoned Truth" was held in Odesa on April 11.

According to Intent, the action was dedicated to Crimean journalists held in Russian dungeons.

"For 12 years now, Russians have been methodically and brutally killing free and independent journalism on the Crimean peninsula. At first, professional media workers were subjected to repression, and their place in the quest to cover the truth was taken by citizen journalists, mostly Crimean Tatars, who later also found themselves behind bars on trumped-up charges of "terrorism," "extremism," "attempting to overthrow the government," and so on. Journalists are the voices that Russians want not only to imprison but also to destroy physically," the organizers of the action noted.

They also noted that the Russians are very reluctant to release three categories of prisoners. The first is the Azov people, the second is journalists, and the third is Crimean Tatars.

The rallies in support of the Crimean Tatars, who have been held hostage by the Russian Federation since 2014, began on February 28 in the center of Odesa on Deribasovskaya Street.

They were organized by the mystic and activist Aziza Eskender. The first action was dedicated to the Crimean Tatar activist Reshat Ametov, who went on a single picket against the occupation of Crimea by Russia on March 3, 2014, and disappeared. On March 15 of the same year, Reshat Ametov was found dead in the village of Zemlianichne, Belogorsk district, 60 kilometers from Simferopol. The man's body showed numerous signs of torture, his head was tied with duct tape, his eyes were gouged out, and handcuffs were lying next to him. The cause of death was a stab wound to the eye.
