"The psychologists work closely with the city's veterans' support center to help veterans and their families improve their mental state and regain strength," said Kane Cordolino, program director of Project HOPE, an international humanitarian organization .

First Deputy Mayor Vitaliy Lukov noted that such centers should be in all districts of the city. As of November 2024, the city authorities are working on their creation. In total, Project HOPE has spent more than seven million dollars to support the mental health of Ukrainians.

Earlier, a rehabilitation unit was opened at the Mykolaiv Regional Clinical Hospital of the Mykolaiv Regional Council after renovation.
