The Economic Court of Odesa Region has upheld the claim of the Black Sea District Prosecutor's Office and reclaimed 1.5 hectares of land on the Black Sea coast from private ownership.
According to the press service of the Odesa Regional Prosecutor's Office.
The land in question is 16 plots worth about UAH 15 million. Prosecutors found that the citizen had registered ownership of the plots located in close proximity to the water's edge without legal grounds and without title documents. The woman appealed to the state registrar of real rights, as a result of which information about the plots was entered into the register on the basis of documents that did not confirm her ownership of the land.
Subsequently, these land plots were added to the authorized capital of a private enterprise to complicate the process of returning them to the community. The court agreed with the prosecutor's arguments and fully satisfied the claim. The court decisions have now been enforced - the ownership of the said plots has already been registered with the Dalnytsia village council, thus ensuring the return of the land to the community.
Also, the State Environmental Inspectors of the Southwestern District recorded the fact of unauthorized use of land plots in the Podil district of Odesa region.
In September, the Odesa City Council was fined for what the court deemed inaction in resolving the issue of a plot of land near gymnasium No. 7 on Mariupolska Street. The court recognized as inaction the fact that the city council refused to make a decision on either a permit for land allocation or a reasoned refusal to grant this permit.
