In Posad Pokrovsky, Kherson Oblast, not only will the villagers' homes be rebuilt, but all the destroyed infrastructure, administrative and social facilities will be restored.

According to Oleksiy Kuleba, Vice Prime Minister for Reconstruction of Ukraine, Minister of Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine, housing is only one component of the reconstruction, which must be comprehensive.

"Jobs, medical services, education, shelters, social services. All this should come along with new walls," he explained.

Kuleba noted that Posad-Pokrovske is one of the first settlements to be restored as part of the pilot project.

"The pace of reconstruction must meet the needs of people, so the work will be accelerated. In recent months, 220 houses have been dismantled. Tender procedures are underway, and new projects have been developed. The task is to restore 362 houses by the end of the fall," said the Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction of Ukraine.

The plan is to "rebuild better than before," which means a comprehensive approach to modernizing infrastructure and improving the lives of citizens.

Since the end of February, the Kherson Regional Reconstruction Service has started announcing tenders for the repair of houses damaged by the Russians in Posad Pokrovske. They announced five tenders for over UAH 238 million to repair 97 houses. The contractors will have to restore roofs, facades, utilities, and interior repairs. Two more auctions worth UAH 400 million are for the construction of 103 houses.
