In March 2022, the village of Posad-Pokrovske, located on the border of Kherson and Mykolaiv regions, was on the front line. For more than eight and a half months, this area was a zone of active hostilities. Despite constant attacks, Russian troops have not managed to capture the settlement.

The Kherson Oblast Reconstruction Service began announcing tenders for the restoration of houses in Posad Pokrovsky in late February. Earlier, they announced tenders to find contractors to repair houses damaged by the Russian military. The cost of the five tenders amounted to over 238 million hryvnias. The work under all the contracts involves the restoration of roofs, facades, utilities and interior spaces.

On March 7, 2025, the Government of Ukraine allocated UAH 5.2 billion for the comprehensive restoration of five settlements, including Posad-Pokrovske in the Kherson region. The plan is to "rebuild better than before," which means a comprehensive approach to modernizing infrastructure and improving the lives of citizens.
