More than 100 homes, costing nearly 400 million, will be built in the devastated town of Posad-Pokrovsky in the Kherson region

In the village of Posad-Pokrovske, part of the Chornobaivka Village Council in the Kherson District of the Kherson Region, residential buildings destroyed by the Russians will be rebuilt. The cost of the work is expected to total 398.4 million hryvnias.

According to the Center for Public Investigations, the Kherson Regional Reconstruction Service published the relevant announcements in the Prozorro electronic public procurement system.

According to the initialopen tender specifications, the contractor must build 52 residential buildings from the ground up by December 31, 2025, on Zelenaya Street (buildings 1, 5, 7, 12, 18, 28, 37, 39, 42, 57; and on Pokrovska Street, buildings 1, 4, 10, 12, 19, 27, 30, 35, 42, 52, 56, 65), Sportivna Street (1, 12, 17, 23, 24, 25, 26, 28, 31, 32, 33, 40), Stepova Street (building 6) and Kherson (1, 5, 10, 11, 14, 19, 30, 34, 40, 45, 47, 49, 53, 63, 65, 87, 89). The estimated cost of the work is 204.2 million hryvnias. Bids for the tender will be accepted until March 31, when the auction will begin.

In March 2022, the villageof Posad-Pokrovske, located on the border between the Kherson and Mykolaiv regions, found itself on the front lines. For more than eight and a half months, this area was a zone of active combat operations. Despite constant attacks, Russian troops never managed to capture the village.

Thesecond tendercalls for the construction of 51 houses on the following streets: Gusinskaya (2, 6, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 18, 21, 26, 28, 34, 38, 45, 49, 52, 54, 58, 62, 65, 69, 70, 71, 73, 78, 83, 94, 110, 111), Youth Center 5), Poltava (buildings 4, 8, 9, 14, 18, 20, 22, 24, 30, 32, 50, 51, 55, 62, 68, 72, 76, 77) and Yuzhna (buildings 2, 3, 4). The estimated cost of this lot is 1,942 million hryvnias. Bids for the tender will be accepted until March 31. The auction will also be held on that same day.

TheKherson Regional Reconstruction Servicebegan announcing tenders for the restoration of buildings in Posad-Pokrovskyi in late February. Previously, they had announced tenders to select contractors for the repair of buildings damaged by Russian forces. At that time, the total value of thefive tendersexceeded 238 million hryvnias. Work under all contracts involves the restoration of roofs, facades, utility systems, and interior spaces.

On March 7, 2025,the Ukrainian governmentallocated 5.2 billion hryvnias for the comprehensive reconstruction of five settlements, includingPosad-Pokrovskein the Kherson region. The plan is to “rebuild it better than it was,” which means taking a comprehensive approach to modernizing infrastructure and improving the lives of citizens.
