The police are considering a statement about a possible beating of a man in Sukhoi Lyman by employees of the Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support.

As Intent found out, the statement was taken by patrol police officers at the scene.

The police could not say whether this incident was registered in the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations, but noted that the man was alive and had not been hospitalized.

A video showing local passers-by in civilian clothes poking around a man sitting near a pillar with signs of fainting and accusing the military of beating him appeared on social media on April 4. The video also shows TCC employees trying to open the man's mouth and performing actions similar to resuscitation, while he lies motionless with his eyes open.

The Odesa Regional Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support stated that the man was faking loss of consciousness.

"In the course of the incident, the citizen began to fake loss of consciousness. Servicemen of the Odesa RTCS and JV immediately called an emergency medical team. Until it arrived, the first aid was provided by both local residents and a representative of the RCCC and JV. A video posted online captured these actions. Upon arrival of the medics, it was found that the citizen's condition was satisfactory, he was conscious," the regional TCC reported.

According to the TCC, the incident began when a mobile notification group was conducting routine work to notify persons liable for military service on the territory of the Tairova village council, in the village of Sukhyi Lyman.

In the course of the activities, a citizen was stopped to check his military registration documents, who, as it turned out, was wanted for violating the rules of military registration. During an attempt to explain the situation and offer to voluntarily go to the TCC to clarify his credentials, the citizen began to behave aggressively, expressed obscenities against the military, tried to provoke a conflict and incited local residents to obstruct the lawful activities of the TCC and JV representatives.
