Philanthropists provided part of the funds for the repair of the dining room of Mykolaiv hospital

In Mykolaiv, philanthropists donated almost one million hryvnias to repair the dining room at a medical institution. In total, they plan to raise more than 28 million.

This was reported by the Center for Public Investigations with reference to the Dream ecosystem.

It is planned to overhaul the food service unit of Mykolaiv City Hospital #5. The goal of the project is to improve the conditions for storing and preparing food in the hospital, ensure that the premises meet sanitary and hygienic standards, and create a safe and healthy environment for patients and medical staff.

The project budget is UAH 28 million 577 thousand 248. Of this amount, UAH 936 thousand 487 is planned for design, UAH 26 million 621 thousand 428 for construction, and UAH 928 thousand 333 for other capital expenditures.

Operating expenses include a project examination for 10 thousand hryvnias and author's supervision for 81 thousand hryvnias.

Part of the funds, 3.31%, i.e. UAH 946 thousand 487, for the renovation of the dining room came from the Mykolaiv City Charitable Foundation "Center for Social Programs" back in 2021-2022.

The renovation work will include replacing old structures, upgrading communications, and introducing the latest technologies. The premises are being organized so that the areas for food storage, cooking, and serving are as convenient as possible and meet sanitary standards.

Outdated stoves, refrigerators and other devices will be replaced with energy-efficient and modern ones. New dishwashers, ovens and food storage equipment will be installed.

The water supply, ventilation, lighting, and power supply systems will also be renovated. Modern air purification, disinfection and temperature control systems, energy-saving LED lighting, and interior renovation will also be installed.

The project is currently in preparation and requires funding.

Mykolaiv has also decided to modernize its construction college. Denmark provided funds for the reconstruction and arrangement of the educational institution. The project is to carry out cosmetic and major repairs of classrooms and auditoriums; install modern educational equipment and new furniture; insulate the facade and roof; replace windows and doors with energy-efficient ones; and install a new heating and air conditioning system.

Eight million hryvnias were allocated from the city budget for the reconstruction of the children's music school. In total, more than UAH 23 million is planned to be raised for the reconstruction. They tried to implement the project five years later. Several million have already been spent on construction, but the project is still in the implementation status.
