In Kherson region, philanthropists donated equipment worth half a million hryvnias to restore water supply. Repair work is planned in three villages of the community.
This was reported by the Center for Public Investigations with reference to the Dream digital recovery ecosystem.
The project provides for the provision of materials for the repair of emergency sections of water supply networks in the villages of. Urozhayne, Rakivka, and Tarasa Shevchenko villages.
The goal of the project is to stabilize the water supply of the community's settlements by providing materials for repairing emergency sections of water supply networks.
The project was initiated by the Executive Committee of the Beryslav City Council. The duration of the project is 3 months.
The condition of water supply systems in the community's settlements remains unsatisfactory. The main reason is the wear and tear of water pipes laid at a depth of 2 meters. Most of the water supply networks were built in the middle of the last century and are used without proper overhaul or modernization. To ensure a stable water supply to the community, it is necessary to provide materials to repair the emergency sections of the water supply networks.
The project budget is UAH 501 thousand 99. The funds for the project were provided by the Ranok Vidrodzhennia Charitable Foundation.
Thanks to international support, a vehicle for the transportation of drinking water and a purification system were also purchased in the Kherson region. The goal of the project is to ensure the transportation and temporary storage of drinking water and the use of autonomous treatment systems for the population in the event of an accident and water supply interruptions in the community's settlements.
In addition, the International Organization for Migration financed the purchase of equipment to restore water supply in Kherson Oblast. More than four million hryvnias were spent on this. It is planned to purchase and install energy-saving equipment for artesian wells in the settlements of the Beryslav community.
In the Kherson region, it is also planned to install warning systems in eight settlements. More than five million hryvnias are to be raised for this purpose. The aim of the project is to alert the population to the threat and occurrence of emergencies in peacetime and during a special period and to keep them informed of the current circumstances.
