The Kherson region continues to be under intense enemy fire every day, remaining one of the hottest spots in the combat zone.

According to the press service of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, over the past day, Russians attacked 28 localities in Kherson region using various types of weapons.

The following villages and towns were affected: Antonivka, Zelenivka, Komyshany, Bilozerka, Velyetenske, Shyroka Balka, Sadove, Stanislav, Darivka, Ivanivka, Poniativka, Beryslav, Monastyrske, Novovorontsovka, Burgunka, Mykhailivka, Osokorivka, Sablukivka, Novooleksandrivka, Lvov, Tyahynyka, Olhivka, Havrylivka, Odradokamyanka, Mykolaivka, Kozatske, Vesele, and Kherson.

The shelling caused significant destruction. A multi-storey building, six private houses, trade kiosks, outbuildings, garages and private cars were damaged. The attacks killed one person and injured three others.

At a meeting of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities, the head of the Kherson City Military Administration, Roman Mrochko, asked President Zelensky to help create a "protective dome" system that could protect residents and critical infrastructure in Kherson from attacks by Russian drones.

Mrochko noted that drones have become the biggest threat to the residents of the Kherson community. Civilians suffer from their attacks every day - newly arrived Russian units literally use the city to practice their skills. Between August and November alone, 1666 drone attacks were recorded. As a result, 30 civilians were killed and 357 people were injured.

According to Mrochko, the situation has become more complicated because the units of the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which used to defend the right bank of Kherson, have been transferred to other parts of the front. Meanwhile, Russian drones continue to strike at civilians.

So far, the decision to create a "protective dome" against Russian drones in Kherson remains under consideration, and President Zelensky has not voiced his position on this issue.
