A mobile X-ray room continues to operate in the Kherson region.

This was reported by the press service of the Kherson Regional State Administration.

The post says that since the beginning of 2024, specialists of the Phthisiopulmonary Medical Center have made almost 100 visits to 55 settlements in the region.

During these visits, 4500 residents underwent fluoroscopic examinations. The doctors diagnosed 12 cases of tuberculosis, four cases of cancer and four cases of pneumonia.

In addition, in March of this year, the Department of Health of Kherson Regional State Administration, the Phthisiopulmonary Medical Center of the Kherson Regional Council and the Médecins Sans Frontières - Belgium signed a Memorandum of Understanding on tuberculosis screening in the de-occupied territories of Kherson Oblast. During this period, volunteer doctors from Médecins Sans Frontières - Belgium made 85 visits and examined 2800 residents of Velyko Oleksandrivka and Vysokopilska communities.

It is noted that the screening fluoroscopic examination makes it possible to diagnose both tuberculosis and other diseases of the chest at an early stage and to obtain high-quality digital images. If necessary, patients also receive a consultation with a phthisiologist and can undergo rapid testing for infectious diseases. Preventive examinations will continue in the future.

Earlier it was reported that volunteer doctors continue to provide medical care to residents of Kherson region. Thus, specialists of the Fortitude UA charitable foundation visited a number of settlements in Beryslav region. During the visit, the doctors examined about 670 patients in Kucherske, Borozenske, Sadok, Davidovyi Brod, Novopoltavka, Kalynivka and Bobrovyi Kut.

It was also mentioned that on August 15, one of the Kherson hospitals received a mobile outpatient clinic.
