Odesa starts looking for a contractor to repair streets for 16 million

The Road Facilities Department of Odesa City Council has announced a tender to select a contractor to be paid for the ongoing repair of roadways and sidewalks of streets and roads of municipal property in Odesa.

This is reported in the Prozorro electronic procurement system.

The auction is scheduled for October 8 with an expected purchase price of UAH 16 million 503.3 thousand in the format of open bidding with special conditions. The list of plots includes 10 streets with a total area of 9,604 square meters.

The winning company will have to complete the repairs by December 31, 2024.

Open bidding with special features means that almost all terms are shorter than in open bidding under the Public Procurement Law. This means that this procurement is much faster than open tenders.

The period for submitting proposals is seven calendar days, and the period for challenging qualifications is five calendar days.

Often, there is no auction during such tenders, so the participant has no competitors.

However, after the beginning of the full-scale aggression of the Russian Federation in 2022, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine temporarily changed the rules for bidding for the period of martial law in Ukraine and within 90 days from the date of its termination or cancellation.

Thus, the government temporarily canceled electronic auctions. Since then, tenders announced in Prozorro can be held without an auction.

Earlier, the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service in Odesa Oblast held a procurement to select a contractor to be paid for the maintenance of the first floor lobby of its building on Prokhorivska Street.

And the Department of Education, Culture, Youth, Sports and Tourism of the Nerubai Village Council of Odesa Oblast announced a procurement for the reconstruction of the Velykobalkivska gymnasium building with the construction of a civil defense facility (radiation shelter).
