The Peresypskyi District Court of Odesa found a local resident guilty of obstructing the activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and sentenced him to five years in prison.

However, as noted in the court's verdict, his actual sentence was commuted to probation for two years.

According to the case file, in early January 2024, the convict disseminated information about the dates and places where military personnel of district territorial centers for recruitment and social support would hold events to notify human mobilization resources in order to facilitate the evasion of mobilization by Ukrainian citizens.

The man reported information about the places where he saw the alert groups via text messages using the Telegram channel. At the trial, the accused pleaded guilty in full. He explained that he published these messages because he considered the actions of the TCC employees to be unlawful.

Earlier, the State Bureau of Investigation sent to court the case of two servicemen accused of obstructing the lawful activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Two servicemen of one of the law enforcement agencies helped men of conscription age to avoid mobilization for a year. They passed on information about the locations of mobile checkpoints and the current places of delivery of draft notices in one of the communities of Odesa region.

Earlier, in Odesa region, the case of a district military commissariat officer and two law enforcement officers suspected of a corruption scheme involving military registration was brought to court. According to the investigation, in exchange for money, they promised to exclude persons liable for military service from the search database.

Prosecutors of the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi Specialized Defense Prosecutor's Office of the Southern Region submitted an indictment to the court against an officer of the Bolhradskyi District Military Commissariat and JV and two law enforcement officers. The investigation believes that in exchange for money, they helped persons liable for military service to be removed from the Oberig database.
