In the Kherson sector, a fighter with the call sign Lutyi managed to intercept and land two Russian UAVs - a Molniya and a Supercam. The cost of the latter is over 400 thousand dollars.
This was reported by the 808th Dniester Separate Support Brigade.
The first of them is a Molniya attack drone that carries explosives and is designed to destroy equipment or manpower. Thanks to the work of Lyutyi's team, the drone was disabled in the air. The device fell far from the positions of the Ukrainian military, so no one was injured.
But even more valuable was the operation to neutralize a Russian SuperCam reconnaissance drone worth more than $420,000. The drone was shot down without damage from a height of 3 kilometers. This was made possible by the precise work of Ukrainian electronic warfare specialists who captured the control signal and forced the drone to land. Now this drone is a trophy that will help Ukrainian developers study the enemy's technology.
The soldier who conducted these two operations is named Oleh, and he is from Odesa. Before the full-scale invasion, he worked as a driver. In the fall of 2024, he joined the Ukrainian Armed Forces, underwent training, and is now fighting as part of a unit responsible for electronic warfare and the destruction of enemy UAVs. Oleh admits that his biggest motivation is his wife and daughter, who are waiting for him at home.
His goal now is to "land" a Russian Orlan drone in order to continue a series of successful operations and break the enemy's eyes in the Ukrainian sky.
According to the military, the work of such electronic warfare units is critically important, as it allows not only to destroy or intercept drones, but also to save the lives of Ukrainian soldiers and civilians.
