A 1.46-hectare water fund land plot was returned to state ownership. Its value was estimated at over UAH 65 million.

According to the Odesa Regional Prosecutor's Office, this is the territory located at the bottom of the Great Adzhalitsky Estuary, which is part of the Pivdennyi port.

This land was previously leased by the Pivdennyi City Council for the construction of engineering infrastructure facilities.

Prosecutors found that the land plot was an integral part of a water body of national importance and, therefore, should be owned by the state. The Commercial Court of Odesa Oblast agreed with these arguments, recognized the decision of the City Council as illegal, canceled it and returned the land to state ownership.

The Court of Appeal also upheld the decision.

"The prosecutor's office proved that the land plot is part of the seaport area and an object of strategic importance, which should be disposed of exclusively by the state represented by the Cabinet of Ministers," the statement said.

Meanwhile, the Odesa Regional Prosecutor's Office announced the cancellation of private ownership of six land plots on the territory of the Gorky sanatorium and the registration of ownership of these plots with the Odesa City Council.

In addition, the head of one of the district ASCs in Mykolaiv region will be tried for alienating a land plot to unauthorized persons near the Black Sea coast.

The prosecutor's office also demands to remove obstacles to the use of a land plot of the nature reserve fund worth more than UAH 100 million. This is a plot of land located within the Oleksandrivskyi landscape reserve of national importance, which was illegally included in agricultural land.
