The Dobroslav Village Council of Odesa Oblast has applied for funding for a project to build wastewater treatment plants and distribution sewer systems, sewer networks and facilities for them.

The relevant announcement was published in the DREAM digital ecosystem.

The purpose of the construction of the treatment plant in Dobroslav is to improve the environment. The old sewage treatment facilities are technologically incapable of receiving and treating wastewater to regulatory standards, and the outdated wastewater treatment technology does not ensure that domestic wastewater is treated in accordance with current standards. In addition, the technological equipment has long exceeded its service life, is technically outdated and energy-intensive.

The new wastewater treatment plant will serve all houses in Dobroslav, and sludge from septic tanks in other villages will be collected for treatment and transported to the wastewater treatment plant.

With a grant from Swedfund International AB, Sweco International AB has already developed a feasibility study for a wastewater collection and treatment system and hopes to attract sponsors for the construction of the treatment plant.

The projected construction cost is UAH 410.7 million. The construction of the treatment plant is divided into two stages:short-term and long-term.

Earlier ,the Dobroslav community passed a competitive selection process to participate in the development of a pilot feasibility study within the framework of the grant project "Ensuring Energy Sustainability of Communities through the Implementation of Distributed Generation in Ukraine", implemented with the support of Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.

Odesa has also planned a large-scale reconstruction of the B building of the city hospital No. 10, located on Oleksiy Vadatursky Street (formerly Marshal Malynovskyi Street). Funds in the amount of UAH 235 million will be provided by France.
