Odesa has planned a large-scale reconstruction of the B building of the city hospital No. 10, located on Oleksiy Vadatursky Street (formerly Marshal Malynovskyi Street). Funds in the amount of UAH 235 million will be provided by France.

The relevant information was published on the DREAM platform.

Themedical facility, which has been operating since 1972 and is the main hospital within the hospital district, also receives war victims. Due to the unsatisfactory technical condition of the building, there was a need for a complete reconstruction with the introduction of modern solutions.

The project envisages strengthening the structures, redeveloping the premises in accordance with the medical task and installing new technological and medical equipment. The main areas of reconstruction include a complete renovation of the premises, creation of functional areas (operating rooms, preoperative, sterilization, recovery area), arrangement of laminar flow ventilation, infection control systems, video recording of interventions, and the introduction of electronic document management.

The total project budget is UAH 235 million. All funds are financing confirmed by international partners. In particular, according to the Memorandum of Understanding between EXPERTISE FRANCE and Odesa City Council of February 6, 2025, France provides full financial support for the project in two stages:

According to the project, the reconstruction will include six main stages - from the design and dismantling of old networks to finishing, equipment and commissioning. Upon completion, the hospital is expected to meet Ukrainian and international healthcare standards, and the quality and safety of surgical care will increase.

The explanatory note states that the project should ensure the performance of modern high-tech surgeries, reduce the incidence of postoperative complications, and increase the efficiency of medical staff.

Funding was also found for the purchase of an MRI and ultrasound machine for Hospital No. 10 for UAH 127 million.
