Odesa hospital has chosen a provider for mothers in labor and patients for 29 million

The municipal non-profit enterprise City Clinical Hospital No. 10 of the Odesa City Council has conducted a procurement to select a company to pay for catering services.

The announcement was published in the public procurement system Prozorro.

It concerns catering services for patients of obstetric and gynecological departments and catering services for patients in city hospitals. In the first case, the caterer must provide the hospital with 10.5 thousand sets of four meals per person per day. The winner expects to receive UAH 3 million 479.9 thousand.

In the second case, 90 thousand sets of four meals per person per day. The companies planned to pay UAH 26 million 82 thousand for this.

The only bidder was Fabrika Smaku, a limited liability company. According to the YouControl service, Fabryka Smaku was registered in May 2015 with a registered capital of UAH 1,000, and two months later it received an order for food for Odesa hospitals. The director and owner of the company is Igor Levinzon.

Earlier, the municipal non-profit enterprise Children's City Clinical Hospital No. 3 in Odesa held a procurement to select a company that would be paid to provide meals for patients. The only bidder was Fabrika Smaku, a limited liability company that is expected to pay UAH 18 million 443 thousand.

In December 2023, Nikcenter reported that Odesa medical institutions sometimes pay twice as much for food as in other cities. And the "fake" competitors of the "Fabrika Smaku" in tenders allegedly turned out to be its employees.

In September 2022, the Center for Public Investigations analyzed the composition of companies participating in tenders for the right to feed Odesa schoolchildren and identified the main players in this market in Odesa. The experts identified Fabrika Smaku LLC as one of the leaders.
