Last year, the mayor of Bolhrad in Odesa Oblast, Serhiy Dimitriyev, declared only his salary of UAH 878.2 thousand.

According to the Center for Public Investigations, the relevant declaration was published by the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption.

In 2024, he earned 720.8 thousand hryvnias. Other data from the 2024 declaration remained unchanged: the mayor has a 131.6-square-meter house in Bolhrad and used a 91.1-square-meter house in the same city owned by Maria Dimitrieva.

The mayor does not have a car - he uses a 2008 Volkswagen Passat B6, which also belongs to Maria Dimitrieva. The mayor himself owns a BZPZ passenger trailer. The mayor also indicated the presence of an account in Oschadbank, but did not indicate the presence of any funds on this account.

In December, Mayor Serhiy Dimitriyev left the premises of the Bolhrad City Council under police guard because of a conflict between the village council and residents. On December 25, 2025, residents of Vynohradivka village blocked the exits from the session hall of the Bolhrad City Council after the deputies rejected a proposal to reduce the land tax.

For two months, the residents had been seeking a reduction in the tax rate from 0.5% to 0.03-0.1%, as it was ten times higher than the rates in neighboring communities. In the end, the villagers won.

Bolhrad Mayor Serhiy Dimitriyev declared a 131.6-square-meter house in Bolhrad in 2024 and noted that he uses another 91.1-square-meter house. However, in the declaration for 2023, only the 131.6-square-meter house was listed.
