Some politicians who were members of pro-Russian and now banned parties in Ukraine will create some blocs or political forces with neutral slogans and try to enter the new Verkhovna Rada, and the current parties will also enter the parliament.

This opinion was expressed by Anatoliy Boyko, head of the Odesa regional organization of the Committee of Voters of Ukraine, on the air of Intent.Insight.

According to the expert, this is why Ukraine should resume lustration processes that will not allow such politicians to run for office, and this also requires changes in legislation. However, such issues should be raised in principle after the end of hostilities and martial law.

"Lustration is a matter of national security," he emphasized.

As for possible elections, they are possible only if the hostilities end and the process will take about six months to organize. That is, if martial law is lifted in February, elections are possible no later than the summer or even fall of 2025.

Also, according to Anatoliy Boyko, the party composition of the parliament should change. Most likely, it will include representatives of the existing parliamentary associations - European Solidarity, Servant of the People with the current name or with rebranding, and Batkivshchyna. It is unlikely that any party will be able to form a mono-majority in the Rada. Some kind of union of politicians from banned parties is also possible.

"Forecasting is a thankless task, but if the current president and his political force decide to continue their political activities, they have a good chance of getting into parliament, although they will no longer have a mono-majority. I would not rule out the chances of the EU and Batkivshchyna. "OPFL will form a party like "For All Good Against All Bad". Maybe Arestovych will run for office if he has his own project. There will definitely be political projects from the military or volunteers, or both. I would certainly like to see a sane political force from business and local government," the expert said.

However, according to the expert, parliamentary elections are currently possible only on closed party lists, provided that part of the territory is occupied and many voters are abroad.

"The most important thing we need to understand is that the results of these elections will not satisfy us. This will be a parliament whose task will be to return the country to normal. This will not be the Rada of Dreams, and it may not even serve until the end of its term," Anatoliy Boyko emphasized.

Earlier, Anatoliy Boyko predicted that the elections in Ukraine in 2025 are 99% likely and preparations have already begun, but a number of conditions must be met to hold them. His confidence in the possibility of holding elections next year is reinforced by the revitalization of the voter register, in particular, the Central Election Commission has resumed the work of the register. In addition, political parties, according to the Odesa CVU, have been conducting preparatory processes for a year.
