A meeting of the executive committee of the city council was held in Odesa, where issues ranged from helping affected children to civil defense. A number of decisions were made to restore the city.

This was reported by the press service of the Odesa City Council.

The meeting was scheduled for today, August 28, 2025, at 11:00 am. The agenda includes a wide range of issues related to the budget, culture and marketing, and digital solutions.

In particular, the members of the executive committee considered a decision to provide compensation for damaged real estate as a result of Russian aggression, and also planned to install new auto-fixation cameras at dangerous intersections to improve road safety in the city. The cameras are to be installed in four new locations to record violations.

The agenda also included approval of charters for a number of educational institutions in the city. These are kindergartens and secondary education institutions. In particular, Kindergarten No. 45 and the Nursery School.

As a reminder, at a meeting of the Odesa Executive Committee on August 21, Odesa set new tariffs for businesses on the coast, from mobile kiosks to rented beaches. The funds will be used for cleaning, repair and landscaping. We are talking about cafes, restaurants, summer playgrounds, mobile retail outlets and stationary facilities of various sizes. The new tariffs will also apply to beach tenants who provide paid services.

Prosecutors recently launched an investigation into officials of a utility company and the Odesa City Council over suspicions of abuse in the arrangement of paid parking lots by the sea. According to the investigation, the area of the sites was underestimated in the contracts, and access to the beaches was restricted by barriers. Therefore, proceedings have been initiated for abuse of office by officials of Odestransparkservice and one of the departments of the city council.
