Specialists of the State Environmental Inspectorate of the Southwestern District assessed the consequences of the shelling of Odesa on the evening of March 4, 2025.

According to the inspectorate's press service, the area of land contaminated with construction waste is 300 square meters.

The total amount of damage to the environment was estimated at UAH 15 million. The collected information was transferred to the Operational Headquarters of the State Environmental Inspectorate of Ukraine for inclusion in the unified register of environmental damage caused by armed aggression.

On the evening of March 4, the Russian occupiers once again organized a night terror of Odesa and the region and launched a large number of drones and missiles at the region. As a result of the strikes, the city's critical infrastructure was damaged: part of Odesa was left without electricity, water and heat.

Debris from the downed drones damaged private homes in the suburbs of Odesa, causing fires. Rescuers of the State Emergency Service are quickly eliminating the fire. The attack damaged and destroyed at least 20 private houses in the suburbs of Odesa, as well as outbuildings, a business center, a post office, a medical laboratory, shopping facilities, and cars of local residents.

The drone attack also killed a 77-year-old resident of the village of Limanka. The man was fatally wounded by shrapnel.

In addition, on March 4, at about 21:30, the enemy launched a missile attack on the territory of a former recreation center in the resort village of Bilhorod-Dnistrovsky district. As a result of the explosion, the three-story building was completely destroyed, and windows in neighboring houses were smashed.

Prosecutors have launched a pre-trial investigation into war crimes that led to the death of a person (part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The air alert in Odesa region lasted from 20:43 to 23:02. The Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces warned of the threat of Shahed attack drones. Drones were spotted in the area of the Black Sea, Chornomorsk and Limanka.
