Over the past week, 32 fires caused by enemy shelling were extinguished by rescuers in Kherson region.

On October 28, in the afternoon, after an explosive was dropped from an enemy drone, the balcony of one of the apartments in a high-rise building caught fire. Firefighters promptly arrived at the scene and extinguished the fire over an area of 5 square meters. In the evening, 101 received a report of a fire in a residential building that had been hit by an enemy shell. The fire was extinguished over an area of 30 square meters.

The night before, the occupants continued to strike at residential areas of Kherson. Five fires broke out after ammunition hit in different parts of the city: two residential buildings, apartments in an apartment building, the roof of a two-story non-residential building and an outbuilding were on fire. Firefighters had to work in very difficult conditions, as the enemy did not stop shelling, so they took into account the security situation and managed to extinguish the fires. In total, during the previous day, due to enemy attacks in Kherson and the region, fire and rescue units eliminated eight fires.

Earlier it was reported that three fires caused by enemy attacks were extinguished by Kherson rescuers on October 23. Two fires occurred in the town of Beryslav: after an enemy shelling, household items in a high-rise apartment caught fire. At night, an enemy UAV dropped an explosive device on a garage in a private yard, where a car caught fire. Another fire was caused by an explosive dropped from a hostile UAV in Bilozerka village: a fuel dispenser at a gas station was on fire. All fires were extinguished by fire and rescue units.
