Mykolaiv regional council is planning to hold an extraordinary session. The agenda includes new steps to strengthen defense and develop social infrastructure.

The relevant order was signed by Anton Tabunschyk, Chairman of the Mykolaiv Regional Council.

The Mykolaiv Regional Council of the eighth convocation has announced the convening of the thirtieth extraordinary session to be held on July 3, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. in a remote format due to martial law.

The decision to hold the meeting online was made to protect the deputies, officials of the executive office and other participants in connection with Russia's active military aggression and the location of the Mykolaiv territorial community in the area of possible hostilities.

The main issues of the session will be:

All issues are aimed at improving the region's defense capability, strengthening social support and developing infrastructure in wartime. The decisions emphasize that the events are being held in view of the ongoing martial law in the region and the need to ensure the safety of all participants.

Recently, a commission of the Mykolaiv Regional Council approved amendments to the charters of three medical institutions so that they could create medical advisory commissions (MACs) instead of the MSEC. At the same time, the initiative to open pharmacies in hospitals was rejected due to the risk of financial losses and the lack of appropriate calculations.

In early June, Vasyl Shulyar, director of the Mykolaiv Regional Institute of Postgraduate Pedagogical Education, submitted his resignation. The regional council commission recommended that his resignation be approved and initiated an audit of the institute's activities.
