Mykolaiv has planned a major overhaul of its power grids, which will include the installation of a solar power plant on the roof of Maternity Hospital No. 3. The project involves energy-saving measures and ensuring the autonomous operation of the medical facility.
This is evidenced by the Dream ecosystem data.
The construction of the solar power plant will take place in two stages. The first stage is funded by the community and involves the installation of a hybrid inverter and a battery.
The second phase, which will be funded by the NGO Ecoclub, involves the installation of five more inverters, a larger battery, and a grid-tied solar power plant. Completion of the project will provide the maternity hospital with electricity from solar panels.
The total budget is UAH 8.7 million, of which UAH 7 million will be spent on capital expenditures and UAH 1.6 million on operating expenses. The design and estimate documentation has already been approved, for which 200 thousand hryvnias have been allocated from the local budget. The estimated duration of the project is two months.
According to the description, the project will not only contribute to energy savings and reduce energy costs, but also have a positive impact on environmental growth in the region by providing a clean source of energy for the medical facility. Currently, there is no full confirmation of funding, but the project is in the implementation status.
Mykolaiv also plans to overhaul the city's children's hospital, which includes facade insulation, window replacement, and installation of a modern roof. The city budget has already allocated more than UAH 17 million out of UAH 52 million for these works.
In addition, a project has been launched to build a new building for the neuropsychiatric department, which was destroyed by Russian shelling. It is planned to raise more than UAH 328 million for its implementation.
