International partners continue to help Mykolaiv: two more educational institutions in the city have received generators that will ensure stable operation of schools even during power outages.

This was reported by the press service of Mykolaiv City Council.

The initiative was implemented thanks to the cooperation of the Ukraine Task Force of Rotary Germany, the Rotary Club of Mykolaiv, and the Humanitarian Center for Business and Economic Development.

"This is the fifth generator we have installed in Mykolaiv schools. The program to support educational institutions continues, and we are grateful to our partners for their help," said Artem Vashchilenko, Head of the Humanitarian Center.

Each of the new generators has a capacity of 25 kW and can fully supply electricity to large educational institutions, including shelters and canteens.

"This is a great gift for all our students, teachers and parents. We are sincerely grateful for this help," emphasized Lyceum director Vira.

The cost of one such generator exceeds half a million hryvnias, and this is a significant contribution to the smooth operation of schools.

"Education is the future of Ukraine. We have received extremely important humanitarian aid and are very grateful for the support," said Valentyna, acting principal of the gymnasium.

Recently, another Mykolaiv educational institution received a powerful generator from German partners from the city of Leer in East Frisia.

Mykolaiv also added three new models of PTS trolleybuses to its trolleybus fleet. They are capable of covering up to 20 kilometers without a contact network.

In early December, the city launched a new trolleybus route No. 1. It united two remote neighborhoods - Kulbakyne and Pivdennyi. Four modern trolleybuses run on the route.

Last year, 31 trolleybuses with an autonomous range of up to 20 km were purchased as part of the project "Modernization of Mykolaiv Trolleybus Transport" with funding from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the E5P fund. The first 19 units have already been delivered to the city.
