The Security Service of Ukraine detained two more pro-Kremlin agitators who actively justified Russia's armed aggression and war crimes of the occupiers
This was reported by the Security Service of Ukraine.
The offenders spread hostile propaganda online, trying to destabilize the socio-political situation in the regions.
One of the detainees is a resident of the capital, who used his own social media accounts to publish posts in support of the invaders and called for changing the borders of the state border of Ukraine. Another suspect, exposed in the Kharkiv region, openly praised the actions of the regular troops of the aggressor country and discredited Ukrainian defenders in comments to the popular media.
During the searches of the agitators' residences, law enforcement officers seized computers and cell phones with evidence of their subversive activities in favor of Russia. Both detainees were served with a notice of suspicion under Article 436-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (justification, recognition of the legality, denial of Russia's armed aggression against Ukraine, glorification of its participants).
The investigation is ongoing to establish all the circumstances of their activities and possible ties with enemy special services. The offenders face long-term imprisonment with confiscation of property.
Earlier, the SBU reported the detention of another Russian informant in Mykolaiv region.
The SBU CI detained a 26-year-old unemployed informant in Mykolaiv region who was recruited through Telegram channels under the pretext of looking for work.
The woman spied on the movement of armored vehicles of the Defense Forces, for which she installed disguised smartphones with additional power near local highways, which allowed the enemy to track the movement and number of vehicles in real time. The offender also periodically traveled around the city by taxi to identify the locations of Ukrainian units, and even gained the trust of the defenders by asking them for veiled information.
